Job Description:
Our Ottawa based client is looking for a SAP Consultant for a one year contract position, starting on date of contract award.
All candidates must possess Reliability Status Clearance and be fluent in both official languages.
Scope of Work:
The ABAP resource must provide at least , but not limited to, the following IT professional services for the SAP product:
- analyse and review the detailed fit / gap analysis and contruction plan;
- identify issues and problems with the new design and provide design solutions;
- apply the SAP R/3 application and programming concepts;
- design, develop and maintain custom ABAP programs to enhance SAP functionality (reports, queries, internal apps);
- design, develop, execute, and test ABAP/4 programs, SAPScripts, Smartforms, Report Writer and Report Painter reports, BDC processing, user exits and data load requirements;
- fully document all programming changes, technical specifications and new development;
- provide ad hoc extracts and reporting;
- perform modifications to reports, forms and print requirements as required.
- ABAP resource must to be able to provide service equally in both official languages of Canada
Other Requirements:
- Experience in writing reports in a BCS environment (Budget Control System)
- Experience programming in ABAP Objects
- Experience with the framework of incoming and outgoing data feeds including, data selection control, data bundling control, and error processing and recovery
- Experience programming reports which use ALV (ABAP List Viewer)
- Experience on performance enhancements for reports
- Experience in systems analysis and design
- Experience using BTEs (Business Transaction Event)
- Experience using BADIs (Business Add-In)
- Recent experience (within the last 5 years) in SAPScript programming
- Recent experience (within the last 5 years) with creating BDC (Batch Input Sessions)
- Recent experience (within the last 5 years) in SAP Smartforms programming
- Two years experience in working with a team to maintain financial systems in a client server environment.
The ideal candidate will have::
a degree or certification from a recognized educational institution in finance, accounting or businessa minimum of five years experience as an ABAP developer with the SAP software product within the past seven yearsSAP R/3 ABAP Certification: ABAP Workbench (2000) (4.6 or above) OR SAP NetWeaver - ABAP Workbench (2003) (WAS 6.20, 6.30 or 6.40)experience as an ABAP programmer with the SAP software productexperience programming in SAP, FI, SD, PM, MM, RE, FM, PS, HR, TRV and COexperience working with various SAP releasesexperience working with SAP Enterprise Add-on Public Sector (EAPS) or with SAP ISPS (specify versions)experience using BAPIs (Business Application Programming Interface)experience in working with user exitsexperience in working with append and include structures
